Jane & O.C.'s quilt

Today, thanks by a recommendation from Christine, my mom and I went to New Pieces and picked out the fabric for Jane & O.C.'s quilt. They had described their bedroom colors as "dark brown, navy blue and some burgundy" and so this is what we came up with. They had wanted fabrics with a Japanese theme, and New Pieces has an amazing selection - a whole roomful- of exquisite Japanese fabrics. We picked one whimsical pattern with owls and rabbits, a more elegant one with origami cranes and geta (wooden shoes) and two simple patterns, a kind of cafe au lait color and another indigo. My mom will begin cutting this week!
